Congratulations on taking the contest-winning photo spotlighted for the month of February in the Ultradent calendar and Facebook cover photo series!
What is your name?
Tony Harris
What do you do here at Ultradent?
I’m a Supplier Quality Engineer.
What kinds of things do you do in your job?
I interface with our suppliers on quality issues.
Were you born and raised in Utah?
No, I was born in Washington but came to Utah to attend Brigham Young University (BYU), where I earned a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering and a master’s degree in engineering.
Tell me about how you ended up working at Ultradent.
One Saturday I was out cycling and I happened upon another cyclist. After we started chatting, I found out he worked at Ultradent. In fact, he worked in the same field as me as a quality manager. Later on, I found out my neighbor also worked for Ultradent, and he raved about the company and culture and encouraged me to apply for a job here. Ironically enough, when I came in to interview, I was interviewed by the cyclist who had told me about the company in the first place!
What has your experience working with Dr. Fischer been like?
I love how friendly and how incredibly involved he is, especially given all that he has on his plate. He’s been a great CEO.
What do you like about working at Ultradent?
Everything I had heard about our wonderful culture is true. It’s so family-friendly and so welcoming. I just love it.

Tell me about your family.I have a 24-year-old son, an 18-year-old son, a 12-year-old daughter, and a wife. They’re a lot of fun. My wife snowshoes with me once in a while and my daughter loves to go with me when she can. She loves the outdoors. How did you get this gorgeous shot for our February cover photo?I took this photo when I was up American Fork Canyon in the Uinta National Forest. I go snowshoeing just about every Saturday, and on that particular day I got stuck on the trail because there were two moose in front of me that wouldn’t let me pass! After I waited for what seemed like forever, something scared them off and I came upon the meadow that is shown in the photograph. I got out my camera and took this picture. It was probably taken at around 7 a.m.
