The adjusters and polishers contain specially formulated Ultradent diamond grit for optimal smoothness and outstanding polishing ability, which is essential to a quality good restoration. If a restoration isn’t finished properly, it can result in microfractures and abrasion of the softer natural dentition of adjacent teeth, as well as staining. Because of the extreme hardness of many of the modern restorative materials available today, effectively adjusting and polishing these restorations has become a challenge for dentists. So when Ultradent released the Jiffy Universal Finishing System, the reviews came pouring in. Based on a formal evaluation conducted by Dental Product Shopper in which ten randomly selected dentists used the Jiffy Universal Finishing System for several weeks, the Jiffy Universal Finishing System scored a 4.6 out of 5 rating, making it a Dental Product Shopper “Best Product.” [Read More](https://blog.ultradent.com/jiffy-universal-polishing-system-reviews?hsLang=en) [...Read More](https://blog.ultradent.com/jiffy-universal-polishing-system-reviews?hsLang=en) [![](https://blog.ultradent.com/hubfs/Sharepoint%20Blog%20Photos%20and%20Images/Photos/2017/01-Jan/from-the-desk-of_2017/from-the-desk-of_hero2.jpg)](https://blog.ultradent.com/from-the-desk-of-dr-fischer-2017?hsLang=en) ## [From the Desk of Dr. Fischer: Looking Forward to a Fabulous 2017](https://blog.ultradent.com/from-the-desk-of-dr-fischer-2017?hsLang=en) [Ultradent Products Inc.](https://blog.ultradent.com/author/ultradent-products-inc) | February 01, 2017 Hello! Irradiance vs power, beam size, even the tools used to measure light outputs all play major roles in how a curing light will function. To find true quality and efficiency in a light, a user must be able to wade through the waves of false and misleading claims often made in the world of dental curing light advertising—Ultradent’s Sr. VP of Research & Development, Neil Jessop, delves into these topics and more in this edition of Dentistry Decoded: Insights from R&D.
